Welcome to the Steamboat Springs Area Fire Protection District! Steamboat Springs Area Fire Protection District serves to provide Fire, EMS and Ambulance Services to 380 square miles and approximately 7,997 residents located in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. The Steamboat Springs Area Fire Protection District partners with the City of Steamboat Springs through an intergovernmental agreement to design, build, and operate a fire and emergency medical services (EMS) department that is responsive to City and District needs.
